Trailers are very versatile pieces of equipment, able to transport just about any freight you can imagine. However, trailers do have their limits, and there are a number of items you should never transport for various safety and health reasons. Hazardous Materials

While this may seem obvious at first, not everyone realizes that hazardous materials can include a lot of everyday materials—such as gasoline, oil, or propane. Other less common materials, such as explosives or compressed air, could also pose a safety risk if hauled on a trailer, and we recommend avoiding it at all costs.

Animals

Unless you own a trailer specifically designed to transport live animals, you should never load livestock or wildlife onto your trailer for any reason. In most cases, this will result in some sort of injury to the animal or, at the very least, a severe amount of stress due to the lack of facilities designed to keep the animal comfortable.

Sharp Objects

While it’s not impossible to transport sharp objects in your trailer, you’ll need to be incredibly careful if you do. Not only could sharp objects damage the bed of your trailer, but they could also puncture your tires if not properly secured, or fall into the road and damage a nearby vehicle.
